Customer Rating: Summary: Great book for kids obsesed with garbage trucks Comment: So many little kids, especially boys, that I know are completely obsessed with garbage trucks. This book would be a big hit to be read over and over. I can't comment on the truck, as my copy is a hand-me-down that didn't come with it (so I only put 4 stars in respect for what another reviewer wrote about that). Also, nice little message about recycling, and some tips for parents on recycling with kids. Good "sounds" in the book like "scrunch, munch, crunch and clank" which my kids always really like. Also, easy enough to be an easy reader for kids with those emerging skills. Customer Rating: Summary: Toy truck is NOT a garbage truck - disappointed!! Comment: The garbage truck that came with my book looks NOTHING like the garbage truck depicted in the book, and NOTHING like the garbage truck pictured in the photo accompanying this item. It looks more like a dump truck that Matchbox stuck some stickers on, trying to pass it off as a garbage truck. The hopper is not enclosed like a garbage truck hopper. It looks absolutely NOTHING like a garbage truck. The primary reason I purchased this product was for the toy garbage truck - my son is OBSESSED with all things trash. The toy was a real loser & a rip off - major disappointment about which I feel misled & deceived. My son likes the book, though.
