    This once a month event takes place at Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach along the path where the ocean meets the cliffs. The event takes place the first Sunday of every month May through October with over seventy local artists and craftsmen selling and displaying their work. The art include paintings, sculpture, pottery, glass artist, textile, jewelry, wood and metal furniture, and much more. Along with the sale of fine arts, the event offers live music, hands-on children's activities, fresh flowers and plants, BBQ.

    The 5k health walk course is an out and back paved course starting at Dinosaur Caves and following the 1/2 marathon course out and back from the finish. No pets allowed on the course, however, baby stroller/joggers are permitted (5k only).

    P-T-P (point to point) starts in quaint downtown San Luis Obispo and heads south, continuing on beautiful country roads to picturesque Shell Beach Road. The last two miles are slightly downhill with a stunning ocean view. The race finishes in Pismo Beach at Dinosaur Caves Park. The course has very slight inclines and runs only a few feet downhill to sea level. Average high temperature in San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach during late October is 75 degrees. Average rainfall is .05 inches. No pets or stroller/joggers allowed on the 1/2 marathon course.

    The special Halloween celebration, モPumpkins on the Pier,ヤ will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pismo Beach Pier. A Trick or Treat Extravaganza will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in local downtown businesses. If it rains, the event will be held at the Shell Beach Veteranメs Memorial Building, 230 Leeward Street. Children 12 and under can participate in a costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, and watch a magic show by Dr. Magic. There will be ongoing crafts, games, a balloon typhoon, and a lot of excitement. The costume contest for the most original, prettiest, and scariest costumes will start at 12:30 p.m. An adult costume contest will follow.
