    This once a month event takes place at Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach along the path where the ocean meets the cliffs. The event takes place the first Sunday of every month May through October with over seventy local artists and craftsmen selling and displaying their work. The art include paintings, sculpture, pottery, glass artist, textile, jewelry, wood and metal furniture, and much more. Along with the sale of fine arts, the event offers live music, hands-on children's activities, fresh flowers and plants, BBQ.

    Ready your fishing rods, clear your weekend, and head to Cachuma Lake Recreation Area - trout plants have begun! Through April 2008, Cachuma Lake County Park will receive plants of 4,000 pounds of trout every other week. Promised are at least 400 pounds of 2lb to 7lb fish. Besides that Santa Barbara County Park Department, the California Department of Fish and Game is also planting rainbow trout at Cachuma Lake biweekly. All in all, nearly 75,000 trout will be planted in Cachuma through winter and spring. In addition to the productive fishing, wildlife viewing is excellent this time of year as mule deer are in the rut and can be seen sparing, and the lake's aerial anglers, the bald eagles and osprey, have arrived for the winter.http://www.sbparks.org/

This FREE モsnowyヤ event takes place Thursday, January 10 during Farmers' Market on Chorro Street, between Marsh and Higuera; from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Children up to 12 years old can come downtown to frolic in over 16 tons of snow.     Tours of the Piedras Blancas Light Station take place on the third Saturday of each month at 10 am and again at 1 pm. The tours originate at the Hearst Castle State Historic Monument Visitor Center, 750 Hearst Castle Road in San Simeon, California. Visitors will be transported to the Light Station via bus from the Hearst Castle Visitor Center. Reservations can be made by contacting the National Geographic Theater, located at the Hearst Castle Visitor Center, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm at (805) 927-6811. Prices for the tours are: $15.00 for Adults, age 16 and over. Children (under the age of 16) are admitted free. In the event of "no shows" on the day of the tours, vacant seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Tours are subject to cancellation on the day of the tour due to rain, high winds, or other factors affecting the health and safety of visitors.
