Santa Maria Speedway

Come see some short track racing every Saturday from the first weekend in May through September. The speedway has a special family seating section in which drinking and smoking is prohibited. To learn more visit the website.

Santa Maria Style BBQ

I can't have a page on Santa Maria without mentioning the famous Santa Maria style BBQ. The BBQ consists of sliced sirlion (most often tri-tip) with salsa, pinto beans, french bread, and salad. You will probably see BBQs in parking lots on the weekend cooking food (usually as fundraisers). I'm telling you these people know what they are doing - stop and get yourself a plate!
