Children and the Arts

Art and music are so important for the developing mind (and I am trying hard to develop mine). Kids delight in the creation and exploration of art whether it be the process or the final product. Whether you do arts and crafts at home or in a formal setting, sing in the bathtub or in a choir, bang on a coffee can or a professional drum set, take the time to channel your creativity and let loose. Please note that I am not just talking about the kids. From experience I know that finger painting on the patio is a great stress reliever.

I believe that kids really need the exposure to the arts and that it will enrich their lives on many levels as they grow older. Groove to the music, go to the theatre, bang on a pot, or paint on the patio. Whatever you do .... have fun!
